The what, the who, and the why of Grindhouse North
I love the old grindhouse flicks, splatter horror movies, and giallo films from the 60s and 70s. So Grindhouse North is really my love letter those.
I’ve been a one-man DIY filmmaker for a couple of years now. When the pandemic and lockdowns started in early 2020, I decided to use my time to learn how to make films. So I watched some YouTube videos and got started.
Since then, I’ve been learning about cinematography, directing action, and how to use special effects. And I’ve done that by shooting, editing, and releasing short films every week, listening to the feedback. So it’s really just been a process of doing and refining.
Shooting during the pandemic was challenging as it really limited how many people I could have on set – and it’s the main reason why so much of my content to date has just featured one or two people.
The next phase of Grindhouse North is really exciting for me as a creator and storyteller. It will feature stories told over several episodes, with recurring characters, as well as the brutally high body counts fans have come to expect from Grindhouse North.

Gangland Garrotte
Kelly stars as a female gangster in the midst of a turf war with a rival gang that owes her money. Dressed in her fur coat and mini skirt with white knee socks, he angrily tells her enemies what she thinks. As she reflects on her next move, an assassin creeps up behind her and slips a silk scarf garrotte around her neck and pulls tight, strangling her.
Unload
Mia stars as a secret agent assassin, fresh from a mission and in possession of sensitive information. An enemy agent has followed her home, and, as she undresses, he bursts through the door - gun blazing.
The Hitwoman
Claire stars as a hitwoman who has returned home from a job. She checks in with her boss to let him know the job went well and everyone is dead. She arranges getting paid but she is double crossed and gets two bullets in her belly and one in her chest

Red Is The Colour Of Her Greed
Zara works for MI6 and has stolen a secret file to sell to an enemy agent. When the agent arrives, Zara's greed gets the better of her and she demands to be paid double. The agent responds by plunging his knife into Zara's chest and belly over and over again
The Price Of Treason 2
Rebecca works for the Government and has stolen a sample of a secret prototype poison gas. The buyer betrays Rebecca and sends a black-gloved killer to take the gas and tie up any loose ends. When Rebecca turns her back, the killer pounces - choking her from behind.
The Bloody Death of Detective McCormack
The police are searching old buildings in the warehouse district for a missing person. It's slow going and Detective McCormack still has one last building to check. She enters the warehouse and cautiously looks around - little does she know, she has strayed into the liar fo a crazed serial killer.
The Search
A spy breaks into an enemy agent's apartment looking for top secret information stored on a chip. While searching the apartment, he hears the target return home early. He hides and shots Kelly many times in the belly and chest
The Deal
Romey is waiting for the coke to turn up. When her contact finally arrives, he hands her the coke in a empty suitcase. Before she knows it, his knife is in her belly and she screams in agony. As the blood flows from her guts, he stabs her chest multiple times.
The Exchange 7
Secret Agent Rachel is making a drop at an old warehouse, but is attacked from behind and choked with a garrotte pulled tightly around her neck. Her eyes bulge and her tongue pops out as she is strangled and choked to death.
The Rat
Low level gangster Chloe is a rat and faces bloody brutal mob justice - at the end of the blade!! She is stabbed in the belly. Chloe gasps in agony and she is stabbed again in the chest, blood leaking out over her yellow blouse.
Giallo Choke
Kasey is lounging around in her nightwear when she hears a strange noise - it's Kelly’s crazed killer come to choke her.
Pinned Down
One of the most overkill slo-mos I think I've ever done. If you like over-the-top overkill shootings, slo-mo, and bare legs, naked feet, you'll appreciate this film.

The Terrorist
Amber is great in this blood drenched over-the-top overkill slo-mo shooting fest. Europe in the 70s was a time of great unrest, with radicalised students turning to violence to get their messages across. One such radical is Amber, who returns home after leaving a bomb in a bag in a pub. However, the SAS and Mi5 have been monitoring her terrorist cell and a kill squad is dispatched to take care of her.
The Intruder
This re-release comes from October 2021 and features Rachel in one of our best-received choke films to date.
Killing Mitzi North Part 4
We finish our Mitzi North series with this ridiculously over-the-top blood drenched shooting, featuring Neave as the titular mob enforcer and Grave as the rival mob boss looking to take down Mitzi.
Killing Mitzi North Part 3
The garrotte tightens around her neck and her eyes pop in terror. She fights back but cannot land a decent blow. Her face turns red and her eyes bulge as she is choked and strangled. She collapses to the floor as her attacker continues to asphyxiate her.
Killing Mitzi North Part 2
Once lured into a trap, Mitzi is stabbed multiple times in the belly and chest - blood spurting from her wounds as she coughs up blood. The knifeman stabs her belly and chest over and over again and then leaves her to bleed out. Defiant to the last, Mitzi takes control of her own death and pulls out her own intestines before dying on the warehouse floor.
Killing Mitzi North Part 1
She is pumped full of lead, bullet after bullet slamming into her belly and chest, turning her white shirt blood red. She collapses on the sofa and coughs up blood. She clutches her bleeding wounds as she trash talks her attackers
Things Go South For Mitzi North
Mob enforcer and bagman Mitzi North is sent on a seemingly simple mission - kill the contact, steal the drugs, and bring back the money. After dispatching the contact with a headshot, Mitzi is jumped by his back-up and is stabbed in the belly and the chest before she kills her attacker.
Death Of A Hitwoman
Jane is a badass, hard-as-nails hitwoman, who has been kidnapped by the brother of one of her victims. He ties her up and threatens to kill her if she doesn't reveal the location of the gang boss who gave the order. Jane manages to break free but takes a bullet in the guts. She's unable to break through a locked door and takes another two bullets in the chest before falling to the floor and dying
Choke Point
Choke Point stars Katie and Mel as two bank robbers, who are fresh from a score. Katie is a naive criminal and this is her first bank job. She idolises Mel's master thief as she always seems to have loads of money. But there's a reason for that - Mel doesn't share scores!!!
Chased, Stabbed, & Gutted
Phoebe is running for her life, scared, desperate. She runs across the warehouse but finds the next door locked and she is trapped - a ruthless serial killer closing in . She gasps as the first stab enters her belly. She coughs up blood and she is stabbed in the stomach. Her intestines are hanging out and the killer grabs them, and twists them in his hands.
The Fur Coat Strangler
Kayleigh is amazing - as always - and her performance is really first class. Her and her partner are getting ready for a night out. She calls out to them that she loves her new fur coat and then asks them to pass her a silk scarf to wear - but it's not her partner passing her the silk scarf: she's yet another victim of the Fur Coat Strangler!!

Firefight
An armed criminal has been corned by police. Kasey plays a brave cop who manages to get behind him. She shoots, but only wings him and she pays for her mistake with a belly full of buckshot.
The City Strangler 2
Laura makes her Grindhouse North debut playing an innocent woman, so lost in her book that she doesn't realise a serial strangler has broken in to her apartment.
College Massacre
It's a tale as old as time - 3 college students are revising for a test and are slaughtered by a knife-wielding homicidal maniac.
The Exchange 4
Danni makes her Grindhouse North debut as a dealer doing a simple drop - but things go south really quickly and she is stabbed in the belly and left to bleed to death on the warehouse floor.
Betrayed In Fur
Katie and Jessie star as two spies on a mission to steal some top secret info during the Ambassador's party - but nothing is what it seems in the world of espionage.
The Sentry
Kayleigh stars as a woman mobster who is on lookout at the warehouse when a rival gang attacks. She meets bloody end as she is pumped full of bullets but doesn't go down without a fight
The Death Squad
Rebecca stars as a woman mobster who has been skimming a bit too much from the top. She meets bloody and brutal justice at the hands of the Death Squad
The Auditor
A gangland auditor is sent by her mobster bosses to find out some missing money. The woman gets too close to the truth and is choked to death.
The Babysitter Slayer
Amber is a babysitter who is brutally stabbed in the belly and chest by the Babysitter Slayer. The mother who hired her returns home and is also stabbed in the belly and murdered.
Witness Protection: The Executions
Three gangsters, three rats, three executions. Three woman gangsters are shot many times in the blood-soaked mob execution film.
Cable Tie Killer: The Interview
Grace stars as an actor who has just finished an interview. But while her back is turned, the interviewer slips a cable tie around her neck

Amber and Kelly star as a mob boss and ambitious detective holed up in a safe house. Kelly's rescued but Amber is stabbed in the belly and left to die.

Marissa stars as an intern working late to impress. But she stumbles across a corporate spy who strangles and chokes the woman to death.

Claire stars as the selfie obsessed girlfriend of a local mobster. Her boyfriend comes in and Claire is all smiles, but then the gangster drops the bombshell - he knows she's been cheating on him.
Betrayed With A Blade
Katie is at home counting cash, when her lover storms in a - without warning - plunges a knife in her belly.
And Now It Ends
Katie and Mel star as bitter gangland rivals, who meet up to settle their differences - but no one gets out alive.
Buckshot
Lauren plays a cop in pursuit of a suspect and is bent on avenging her partner's death. But the robber is equally desperate to escape
